The 2016 Lonestar Round Up was another stellar event. The latest edition of LSRU did not disappoint with a great variety of cars, tons of fun people and for the most part, excellent weather. So without further delay, here are my pictures. Please be patient. Like all of my threads, it will take a while to get the images done and for the whole thing to play out. Also, if you get impatient waiting for these, there is always last year's thread: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/...lonestar-roundup-round-up-2015-photos.972218/
Thanks in advance for stopping by to check out my images. We'll start out with this gorgeous gold 32 pickup captured at the Meatheads Barbeque. (Thanks Meatheads for the tremendous pre event.)

Good seeing you Dan! I made a point to not bother taking a lot of photos as soon as I ran into you and Travis. Makes it s lot easier to enjoy the show knowing you guys will get the good stuff :)

    Looking forward to your coverage

  14. Thanks for posting. Your car is as beautiful as any car at the Roundup. It stopped me in my tracks and I had to get close and spend a while looking at it. Killer. Saw it again at Top Notch on Friday night.

  15. Great work as always, Dan. It's like Christmas all year when you post your shots. Each one is like another present to open. Thanks for taking us vicariously with you to the LSRU.........Don.

Thanks Tim, Ranchero59, Cheaters Pete, Thom Mead and Don (lothiandon1940). BTW Thom - the cars I was with or in weren't mine - I just ride around in them with my buddies from Denver. They are my actual club as it were - the Hell Hounds. The 46 Dodge pickup with the radial airplane motor was also with us.
Picture posting will be a little slow this morning since I will be away taking my wife in for a hand operation, but I will be back on it by this evening.

  21. Top of the day to you Dan, Sure wish I could have made it this year to the round up, but fell right at 2 weeks short of having the 3 window road worthy....Next year I will make it.
Thanks for the outstanding photos of this event....I have been watching for your post as seeing the cars through your lens is almost like being there.....
Can't wait to see more.....Hope everything goes good with the wife's surgery.

Thanks a lot roddin-shack, brady1929, 46stude, Tom (wide34), Dennis(383deuce), typo41 and louis - your support, comments and likes are all very much appreciated. I am working on pics here at the hospital on my laptop which is not ideal, but if they don't look optimal, I will replace them later.

Here is the brand new 34 build that was my ride for the show and its side events. Built and owned by my friend Steve Becker of Longmont, CO. It was started in December and just finished. Glass body, Buick 425 (64 Wildcat) with 6 Strombergs, matching automatic... I'll have more images of it later.

I will tell Steve you said so. Thanks.

You're very welcome Jalopy Joker - thanks for checking this out. Please come back, because needless to say, this isn't even the tip of the iceberg yet.
