  1. Next question, what was the factory engine color? :)

  2. Hope to see Kev tomorrow, and show him this thread.
I've shown him some of the replays from Friday.
He's very thankful for the feedback.

Y-block engine colour was originally red.

The delete plates are being reproduced now so the originals don't have the same value as they used to, unless your a hard core restorer.

Heres the one I own. Just a Custom, a little less trim.

It now has a 514 BBF, C-6, Locker rear,.......

    Nice looking 57....
I would think it with a 514" it "Hauls" The Mail really well. :)

  6. .... with black valve covers/oil fill cap. The air cleaners were black on the 2-barrel motors, and argent silver on the 4 barrel. Ford painted the long block (with valley cover, water pump and pan) Ford red, then every bolt-on part was black.

Jeff, if he wants to stay all Ford on the wipers he needs the following parts. From a 58 he needs to cut out the section of the inner firewall where the wiper motor mounts. Grab all the arms and related hardware. Next he needs a '59-61 wiper motor if he wants to upgrade to electric. Otherwise he can stay with the 58 vac*** motor and be rid of the cables. He can find a lot of help at 57fordsforever.com

The motor shaft will need to be spaced out in order to mount to the 58 panel.
