Sorry for the title I am a little excited !!! went today to get fitted for the seat in my roadster and the cage looked.....well insane! FLIP
what is controlling the pinion, other than the radius rods?are you running a panhard rod to keep the rear end centered? i can't see what is keeping the rear end in the frame. -danny
Rad... now take those lower stanchions off... or come up with some neat little cap to screw on and cover the stud so there's no danger of ruining that car with a windshield.
Thank you fer the comments fella's. The stanchions are coming off and a knuckle guard is gona be made. The rear end does have a panhard bar and it will prob get a torque arm on the top of the rear end going to the drive shaft hoop,... possibly. The goal was to have the cage no higher than it needed and I think that it succeded in that. I also am going to change the rear wheels to a pair of non revearsed kelseys to pull the rear wheels closer to the body. When I was setting up the rear axle to get the desired wheel base I was struggling with wheel placement. it either had to much gap to the front or to much to the rear and never really looked centered even when the tape measure said so. So I decided to go for more inches and set the axle to the rear of the wheel well and now that the tires stick so far out (like 2" to much) I think that changing the wheels will be the ticket. Gota go to work, check back after work. FLIP
Nice work again Flip. Is the deck lid going to be mounted rumble style? Yeah, you need some wheel disks. Woody
