Found a decent Kaiser override/license plate guard complete with the light for the license plate. Anyone care to give me an idea of value. It's in decent shape, a couple very small dimples that probably wouldn't show up in pics. Has some scratches but no rust. I can post pics later if needed. I don't want to underprice it nor overprice it. I have an idea just want to verify that I'm on track. Last one I came across was almost 15 years ago. So I am aware that it's a rare piece.

I know of a fella who had a few and he wanted 200 a piece for them. They were useable, but not showroom...

I'll give you $50.00 for it though! :)

If it's got the "bullets", it could be as high as the $400 range for a perfect one. I saw a nice one without bullets at the Roadster show swap for $100.

I was gonna add- seen them fetching upwards of $200 or so. Driver quality.

  7. Wow. Now I'm happy I sawed the whole back bumper off a Kaiser that had that guard. Wasn't much left of the frame, but the thing is heavy for a bumper, it was a ***** to carry back to the truck.

    Only one bullet, though.

I picked one up at the gettysburg swap area 3 weeks ago for $40. Funny thing was, a guy was holding it, thinking about buying it when I walked up, and I heard the guy tell him $40. I just sorta hung around, a bit away, hoping he would put it down, with $40 ready in my pocket. Sure enough, the guy put it down, and I moved right in to grab it.

Oh, this is an auction??? Haha.

    Cool, I'll make it $75.

(Judging by our co**** and stupid remarks, you can definitely get way more than this for it. If I had the money I'd realistically pay around 200-300 for the one you have there.)

To give you an idea, I just sold two. One, really nice one with one dent at the top, decent chrome for$260. The other was rough, lots of surface rust on the inside, pits from battery acid on the top but otherwise solid for $150. These things aren't easy to find or cheap anymore. I've seen decent bullets go for $80 a piece. Just my 0.02.

  14. Some of them Kaiser guys are cheap, had one offer us once $400 for two complete 54-55's with those guards on them. One had factory wires and both had superchargers. Who knows, maybe he just wanted the guards...

In other words, it might be worth buying a whole car for the guard. You can still take the rest right to the s****yard and right now get around $100 a ton for it.

I saw that, if you can use it I guess its a good price, but someone hacked too much of it off for me to use it,
