a while ago I repainted a 1940 Pontiac for a friend, it had to be on a budget and could not take too long. I got it done in 2.5 weeks and within his budget. but only because it was a rust-free and straight car. i used about 300grams of bondo on the whole car and it came out pretty nice. the car: the reason for the respray: after sanding down the fender i realized it was a solid car and a bare metal respray would be the best:
I was not satisfied with the result, (cheap 2k paint) dust and some silicones. left it for 2 days to cure sanded everything again with 800 and 1000 sandpaper
Thanks. My friend was very happy with the result. Despite the blue paint was in a very bad shape, I have rarely seen a rust and bondo free car like this, maybe i was lucky.
