Anyone help me identify the trim color and name for the trim on enclosed photos? The VIN plate on my 54 Country Squire is 'AT' which the Vin decoder on 54ClubAmerica says should be ivory and green vinyl which it's not! It's blue and light beige / tan which is like a brocade - is this what they call the Arrowhead pattern? it doesn't look like it's been retrimmed, been off road for 40+ years and everything looks stock. But car is in England so I can't go look at too many others! Did the Country Squires had different trim codes? - it's a 8 seat car with 3 rows of seats Car is Cadet Blue and seems to have original paint. Also any recommendations as to where to get an interior trim kit? Or better still, the original seat covering by yard, so I can get it trimmed here. Rear seat is in good shape, 3rd row is average at best and front seats are just frame and springs, all the material has rotted out. Would prefer to trim in original material or as close to it. Pictures are of rear seat, close up of brocade type material and last one of door card. Cheers everyone.
Hi more info, there is a tag beneath the rearmost seat with both a 52 and 53 date stamp. Tag read 'Dennison Mfg Co USA' Tag date 7.6.53 car is a 54 so could it have an earlier trim in it? cheers
I had a '53 Customline my first car in '63 with the same upholstery as yours. Best bet is probably here: http://www.lebaronbonney.com/ They are also on facebook: https://www.facebook.com/LeBaronBonneyCompany April 15th is a Tax day sale 5% off not a big deal but might help with shipping a little.
Thanks guys, I have seen the 54 Patent plate decoder before and it's where I got the Ivory and Green vinyl code (AT) from. I just don't think it's green, altho maybe that's what they called the turquoise / teal type color. To my eyes it's definitely blue! I'll give LeBaron Bonney a call and see what they've got. It's the cream / beige patterned material I'm after as I can get something close to the blue / turquoise Vinyl in UK. Cheers
Just for the fun of it, ask two or three people to tell you the colour. I once had a turquoise 64 Comet, the paint name was Pagoda Green. I saw green but my wife always insisted it was blue. LOL.
Actually I'll try that. I'm also going to ask what LeBaron call it too! Maybe an English Blue is an American Green (or vice versa!!)
You'll be surprised at how different people answer. You wouldn't believe the different shades of green I've had my car described.
