Thinking of trading my 48 Aerosedan for a 63 Rivi. Any advice, things to be aware of, problem areas, unobtainable parts, etc.? All help is appreciated.

Parts are available but you'll be going to a closed drive, meaning a torque tube rear end and a dynaflow transmission. Many people are ok with the dynaflow and like it. Some don't. If its in good shape, you should be ok. Buick didn't change to the turbo 400 until 1964.

Forgot to mention, if you need front 45 fin aluminum drums, let me know. I have a set I'm selling here on the HAMB.

A 63 Riv doesn't have a closed driveshaft. 63 was the last Dynaflow and there were very few problems with them. In my book a 63 Buick of ayt kind would be like a sore ****, hard to beat!!

Thank you. I stand corrected. BuckeyeBuicks is correct. 1963 had an open driveline with a dynaflow.

I had a 63 and have a friend who is currently halfway through turning one into a vert, complete with a hydraulic power top. Love 63 riv's.
