651.JPG 1336.JPG 360.JPG 606.JPG 601.JPG 603.JPG 1299.JPG '59 cadillacs have always been one of my favorites. the problem nowadays is they are getting exported out of the U.S. at astounding rates and there are several Cadillac parts source companies that have been going around the U.S. and buying every old junkyard '59 cadillac around and hoarding them to corner the parts market, I know first hand, I had to get some parts for my car and had to pay their price or no part ! if you are looking to buy a '59 to fix up, make sure it is as complete as possible or your good deal will turn into a money pit, for example, the 2 door coupe rear qrter side mldings are $900 apiece ! the headlight dash switch ('59 only) can be as much as $500 ! I fixed mine. well, heres a couple pictures of mine. I lowered it and made my own custom hubcaps from '57 dodge lancers.

just like any other popular car.... especially post ww2... boggles my older brain that these cars are worth more and more... at one time they were a dime a dozen. and i would have been embarrassed to be seen in one. how things change.

Thanks alot on the colour compliment!! Much appreciated man!! It isn't the original colour, but it's as close as i could match London grey/Dover white ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1459723790.914197.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1459723809.949286.jpg

Thanks again, man!! ...this one was in three pieces, but luckily, my oldest brother is an extremely highly skilled welder and he repaired it for me!! i now have almost 11,000 miles clocked in since we rebuilt it, and i have had some of the best times in my life in it!! Buddies, gorgeous girls, beers, and nothin' but fantastic memories with hopefully more to come this summer!!

I never could get used to my '59. It was just too obnoxious for me. The body style, chrome and color just colluded against me.

I love the style, but Red just pushed it over the top. I'll get another '59 one day, but either a coupe or (Black or Sand) convertible.

Just got this on the road in the last week or so. Still some to do but at least I can run in the engine.

These pics were taken after a wash ready for its first official outing with the Cadillac Club.

Here is a unrestored original i spotted at the car show in St. Paul. The owner was looking for reasonable offers over 50K: ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1466447534.612568.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1466447560.029700.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1466447583.051030.jpg

Hey Gents, just in case any of you are looking for one of these, I came across it cruising around the ol' CL today. I'm not affiliated with the guy at all, just know these are harder to find these days.
