I bought this from a friend of mine this weekend. So I'll be at the round up in a car. I've got a good size list of things to get done. I'm stoked.
...nice little car there,...I've always liked those 50-54 Plymouths. They are kinda like a "forgotten" car...you don't see too many around, but that seems to be changing lately. Problem in the rust-belt is they usually are pretty rusty underneath. ...whatcha runnin for drivetrain? I see it's got pipes comin out of both front fenders.
It has a 302 and a C6 in it, with the stock rear end. The rpms are alittle high on the freeway, but not too bad, it will eventually get a 9 inch. It runs about 60 at 3 grand, atleast I'm not getting run of the road. I don't have a pic, but he had a set of new plymouth dogdish center caps, the ones with the script and the boat, in red. They look good on the car.
My first car was a 69 cougar with a windsor, I definetly have a soft spot for small block fords with open exhoust. One of my favorite motors....mechanically. they aren't the most nostalgic looking, they take a little more effort, but I like em, they put the distributor in the right place....haha
Big Ric machined them out of a chunk of steel, so I'm told. Mark says I have to give them back or Ric will be pissed, haha. I have another set so it's not a big deal. They aren't as loud as you would think.
I asked him if I should just give the money to you. he said yeah. I might have some more business for you soon, a friend of mine.
FAWKIN AWESOME MAN!!!!! I likes it a lot! I can wait to caravan to Austin either checkin out that *** or watching ya in the rearview.
springs cut and blocks in the back. It has about 2 inches of suspension. I think I'll get some dropoed kingpins for it at then I can use the factory length springs, and actually have a suspension. It doesn't ride too bad though.
The more I looked at it, the more it grew on me! I think I like it! Kinda different, stubby top, short overhang, I guess I never paid much attention to them. Congrats on the new ride! Now, HAMMERTIME
