Well here I go. Getting the ol 35 together and at the point of exhaust manifolds or header. The 35 has a Mustang 2 front a late 70's or early 80's Camaro column, SBC with stock starter that's new. The PO had a set of Hedman headers that lacked any clearance to the steering shaft or plugs which made me a bit nervous and seemed un cool. Just wondering if anyone had a similar setup and what they were using for manifold or headers
Any and all input appreciated. Pics even better !!!
    Thanks Gearhead

  2. ... Here's my set up ... 327 Chevy with stainless block hugger headers ... Column is a '70 GM Olds tilt ... Fatman Mustang II with a non power Flaming river rack ... two U joints and one heim joint to stabilize it all ... Bought the headers off of fleabay years ago ...

  3. Have a SBC in my 36 sedan, ran coated fenderwells and a short stainless exhaust with baffled mufflers out under the boards. It can be alittle bothersome noise wise SOMETIMES depending who is riding with but it was the cleanest and easiest way to run the pipes , Mitch

I have a Big Block in my '35 and it gets pretty tight in there-I am running coated Sanderson CC5's, and I just finished installing my exhaust-it does takes some planning-

The serpentine belt makes it look especially traditional.

  7. I got cast iron ram horns in mine. Same setup as yours

Sounds interesting. Saw Speedway selling fenderwells for fat fendered cars.

Kinda leaning towards ram horns, love the looks. Performance don't seem to be a sacrifice.

Was looking on Sandersons website at their CC2. Like the idea of using RTV sealant and NO Gaskets to blow.

Tryin to avoid reengineering the steering but I might have to since space is a premium on a 35. Thanks for the pic, great set you have there,

  12. i will look for and scan some pics. I wanna say they were Sanderson headers,I will have to dig back in the brainium for that. Mitch.

  13. Scan0010.jpg Scan0011.jpg Here are the pics of my exhaust on the 36. PLEASE pay no attention to the wheels and tires, or the size and orientation of the pics, I'm havin a bad day !! The headers are S&S fender wells and the mufflers are from Stainless Specialties, none of which are in business anymore I believe. Mitch. Scan0010.jpg Scan0011.jpg Scan0012.jpg
