I have a 63 plymouth belvedere with the stock motor and trans. I have a 383 motor and trans I am wanting to put in it. It has a 4 barrel intake but no carb. I think they call it a square bore intake? I am not to familiar with chrysler. More of a GM guy. I am just wanting a carb to get it running. So what carb do I need nad does anyone have one here? Where is the best place to find motor mounts.

As far as carbs go, you can get a standard Holley or Edelbrock and get going with that. I preffer Holleys, and I run a 600 manual choke vacuum secondary on my 383. It runs real good with that set up. The Edelbrock is a good set up too, and is closer to the AFB which probably came on there. That motor is only going to need 620 cfm to run at 6000 RPM (no reason to over spin it, since unless you're cammed up, your power will run out before then), and at 85-90 percent volumetric efficiency, a 600 is just right.

A search on eBay yields a vast variety of new motor mounts for a reasonable price. That'll probably be your best selection

I was told that I needed custom motor mounts. Where is the best palce to buy these motor mounts and carb. I mean best quality of product and the company is not an A$$ hole to deal with. I know some places have a bad reputation. Just wanted to know what experiences you all have had.

  4. You don 't need custom motor mounts you need a big block cross member. Junkyard.

Maybe if you contact transdapt they have something. I've always had good luck with them.

If your Belvedere was an original V8 car (anysize) you do not need to change the K-Member. You can use factory/replacement motor mounts for a 361/383/426 to bolt the 383 into your car.

If your car originally came with a Slant 6, then you either need custom motor mounts or you need to change the K-member to one from a V8 car.
