Got a '36 with complete CE front end kit (FK-350) with split '37-'40 wishbone and reversed eyes and the steering arms are pre-bent from CE to clear front axle. Problem: can't make a complete full turn to the right because '36 pitman arm on my '40 box hits left side wish bone. Anybody have a solution? IMG_1948.JPG

Yes, but when the box is centered and the drag link adjusted for wheels strait ahead does it still hit or does the right hand spindle hit the stop first?

If you bend it down so it goes under the wishbone, and then happen to be doing a hard right turn when the wishbone comes back down from that bump, you are gonna catch the pitman under it. Not sure what to do about that?

Maybe lower the car even more so you can maintain clearance between the pitman and the wishbone? ;)

Spindle stops aren't the issue, when the box and wheels are centered and drag link hooked up the pitman arm hits the left wishbone. Not sure what would happen over a hard bump.

Could space the box to the right if you have room...

I have the same set up but with an adaptor plate to go on the steering box mount it looks lower than your??? It's been a long time since I've seen the car, but I believe something is different there.
I'd look into that if you think it would help, my car isn't easily accessible or I'd sent you a pic

Looks like the problem may be that I don't have the correct acorn nut and bolt to limit how far the spindle turns. Ordered the correct ones and will see what happens after install. Thanks everyone for the help.

GM made several different pitman arms. Most had a drop to them. Either change pitman arm or heat and bend your pitman arm. If you heat and bend...make two bends so the knuckle stays parallel to the ground.
