Hot Rods FORD engine valve cover ID

    Does any one know what this is from? Saw it at the Carlisle swap went back later and it was gone.

    looks like it might fit a Boss 429. Although it doesn't look like the production valve covers. Neat

    I found on another site that stated:
    "The valve cover were the 1st castings for a Boss 429,(they hit the master cylinder) and were changed to the common ones you see today"

    Are they cast iron, Magnesium or Aluminum?

    Not sure what its made of.(wish I would have asked when I first saw it) It looked more industrial to me with the block letters and rough finish. But who knows!!

    Pre production Boss 429. From what I read they were either cast iron or magnesium.

    Looks like that's what it is! Figures they had a lot of Ford FE stuff they were selling.
