Has anybody used Iwata/Airgunsa spray guns?

The local paint & body supply place is trying to sell me one of these.

It looks well-made, and the price is decent. I'm kinda looking for an HVLP primer gun anyways. This one has a 1.8 tip, which should be fine for the PPG K93 I'll be spraying.

Any other recommendations for an affordable ($100 +/-) HVLP primer gun?

    Yep!

    It's better than me anyway.
When **** happens it's usually my fault, not the gun.

I haven't used that specific model, but I swear by Iwata. That should shoot the K93 fine with the 1.8 tip. We used to spray the K93 with a 1.4 tip. You won't be unhappy with an Iwata gun.

You betcha, Iwata is one of the best. 1.8 is a bit large though. clears are usually 1.3 and base 1.4 . Don't rule out good ole American made Sharpe. The ***anium series is the best bang for the buck out there. just my opinion.

    Wow. Thanks for the replies!

I might let loose of the cash for this one, then.

I knew they made killer airbrushes (or at least used to...), but had no experience w/ their spray guns.
