Wrong turn on back road led to this find. See if this works.

Since there are way too many for a person to ever restore, I wonder what the thinking of hoarding all of those would be. I guess his thinking is at some point when they are valuable he would sell them. But so many hoarders never seem to realize when that time is until either they die or the vehicles deteriorate so badly that they are not worth anything anymore.

    I'll take the 32 Phaeton...☺

It would take a "week of sundays" to get anything out of that mess...Owner is loony by now or he would make some room between them..God forbid if he ever has a fire in there..
I'll be happy with the old 32 Phaeton ,personally..

This a collection that one guy gathered. He did drive some of these cars. He would buy a car then collect some parts for it. Kept a file on every car. Purchase price, parts prices in the files. Cars store in metal barn on cement floor. Most have not run in at least 30 -40 years. Most are solid, but all need work. Few later models not shown in video. Owner p***ed away and family was going to have auction. Family had some guys working on some of the cars to get them running for auction. Eddy took wrong turn on back road and found them working on the two Roadrunner convertibles. Eventually a deal was struck for the cars and the barn. Right now we are working on some of them to get them running. Trying to inventory whats there. YES, THERE WILL BE AN AUCTION. Will post info about auction details as they are finalized.

Thanks Speedracer for sharing that with us. Just great to capture the experience. Hopefully more pictures/video will be taken to enhance what you have posted. This stuff is history.

It's funny or maybe because the video was posted here, but so far, no one had said anything about the 2 Roadrunners in the beginning of the clip. Probably the 2 most desirable cars in the whole clip.

A numbers matching, YELLOW Roadrunner with a WHITE convertible top. Google THAT to see how rare it is. If it has a Hemi, the value is off the chart.

The guy had a soft spot for soft tops. Nice of him to save them all for someone else. Great if he got enjoyment out of locking so many great cars away.

think of it this way. i that guy didn't "hoard" all those cars they might not exist today for someone else to enjoy.

Hoarding/Collecting does not matter. The sale will spread the herd again.

Nice collection and story. Thankfully there are those out there who collected vehicles like these.
Nowadays there would be those who would have called Bill Harrah a hoarder. Seems to be a serious case of car envy by those who dislike anyone who has a group of cars they wish they had.

If you are not a hater then you must be a **** up:D:D:D

Sorry, shouldnt have said "looks like a waste now" I do hope the guy enjoyed em tho.
I dont like or dislike anyone because of what they have, its how they act with it that interest me.

I am neither a hater or a **** up.Been around cars way too long to make judgements on others. I know of collectors with up to 250 cars in barns or outdoors that will never get finished. Doesnt bother me. They have them and can do what they want. It just seems to me that anyone who has a collection of older unfinished vehicles is called a hoarder and often in a derogatory manner.
Unless,of course they are a Forum member in which case they get a free p*** to hoard all they want. ;)
