So Tfever...okay I think the point you and CrazySteve and so many of the others are saying is this vehicle is period correct albiet not traditional as it was not a common method or modification applied to numerous vehicles. Therefore during the hotrod era/period in the umbrella of HAMB coverage there was a large array of genious and invention but not necessarily traditional per say.
I find it quite unusual that this hotrod of which I find really interesting by the way would not qualify to meet the criteria of Traditional Hotrod. I respect the opinion of the mods on this one.

Keep beating we will Hot Rod Don and Fred.
People that are new to your' syndicate are only learning about the 'dead horse' you are so in love with. So, let the people who are new keep learning.
Its easier to ask than go searching through thousands of threads and postings on a slow internet connection in the Deep South that we have in our place to learn why so many of you love this 'dead horse'.

  6. That's not what I'm saying.... My point is that given the definition as listed in the site guidelines 'Traditional... is period correct' that any vehicle built 'back in the day' or built from 'period correct' parts is 'traditional'... period. No 'generally accepted', 'common' or other buzzwords to qualify it, which are which in the end analysis are just opinions. There was certainly little thought being given to 'traditional' at the time.

I will agree with Fred that attempts to justify some 'modern interpretation' by dredging up some of these things is wrong. But that still doesn't make the 'original' any less traditional.

Glad you're happy. So, what kind of car do you have? Is it "traditional"? "Period correct"? "Just a Hot Rod"? Just, what are you building or driving?

I like that many of you have driven cars with similar attributes and additionally have mechanical understanding of the situation to offer opinions of what it may have been like to drive such a hotrod.
I'm off to the corner now and going to try not to trip over any dead horses along the way...;)

It posted it before and got deleted by Admin.
It is cooler than cool but, not a Hot Rod as you know one. I also gave you my intentions regarding the Roadster in the posting that was deleted by Admin.
Time is wasting away with having to repost things so sorry but will have to re-post strategically tonight for you when I come back .
    Cheers

Fellas... if you don't know what a traditional hot rod or custom is, stick around and read the forum for a while... If you do and just don't give a shit about what we focus on here, find another forum.

Otherwise, posts like this are lame.... boring...
