RIP Mr. Hines. I'll always remember how gracious he was to my young son about 20 years ago at a custom event.

  6. I would have loved to have met him. A true one of a kind...my condolences to the ones close to him.

Only know him from watching him on Monster garage but I know he is a legendary lead slinger. Surprised there is only nine responses for this man.

  10. Only nine on this thread. I think there's a few others with pages and pages.

I saw him at Salina Lead Sled Spectacular last summer . He didn't look well. He seemed disoriented and I thought he was dehydrated. I was bothered by this but ***umed one of the guys with him would get him something to drink. I didn't think about it again until on my way home and was kicking my own *** for not buying him a bottled water or something. I don't know why we hesitate sometimes.

I am not a custom guy, but anyone who frequents this site knows who Bill Hines is....he seemed so fragile in his later years yet kept applying lead, a real legend gone...RIP
