I have a 68 Mustang coupe I am going to scrap but I have striped it clean and the only part left worth keeping is the roof. Can anyone use this part or am I keeping it for no good reason? Might be handy to have for a chop top or to replace a damaged roof or something. Let me know your thoughts.

Sell it, heck....turn it upside down and hit the snowy hills at your local golf course....

    What snow?

Now that I have said that we will get 20" next week for spring break like the last couple of winters where we had no snow.

If it's a fastback roof, there are a lot of restorers out there who'd be all over it to convert a coupe into a fastback. If it's a coupe roof, it would be a nice big skin to fill in a roof insert or to use to make patch panels. As far as a coupe roof being used to fix another Mustang, I doubt it.

From what I have read here it can be used on almost any Coupe.

  8. How hard would it be to put that roof onto my 67 non fastback???

  9. Also how much you want for it?

At the very least you could use it to fix a mustang that someone put a sunroof in.

  11. if you don't use it or sell it , at least keep it..it's always nice to have extra sheetmetal . you never know , you or someone else may need to fill a top , make a fender skirt , reskin a deck lid , make patch panels , etc

i never throw sheet metal away..even small pieces

67 and 68 were the same body so it would work on both. If you need it let me know and I will cut it where ever you want it cut. I hate to talk price on here since we have a place to sell things but it is not working right now. Send me an E-Mail to hoosier@pwrtc.com if you are interested in it. I think it is worth keeping so it wont get scrapped. As for doors, I kept both but one has a big dent and would be good to put a new skin on which I know how to do. The other has a little rust in the front corner like almost all Mustang doors do but it is not that bad. If it were not worth keeping I would have junked it.
