Very cool! If it gets a 4cyl I do not think it is a TQ, at least around here the all ran motorcycle engines. Gary

Neat project. TQ's for sure ran Crosley power. Any power plant that fit the cu in requirements was OK. Later, when 4 cyl bike motors came along, many of the old engines were replaced by the high reving Japanese 4 bangers.

Crosely engines dominated the TQ scene in the 50s and 60s .They were 44 cubic inches ,overhead cam,the rules allowed 800 cc or there about, still the same today .This car originaly had a fiat topolino 750 cc.,with an Acro in/out box and a quick change rear end.I stretched the ch***is 6 inches going to put a trans and a clutch in it.

  6. Forgive my ignorance, what does the TQ denote?

In the late 70s I watched TQ races at Pine Brook in NJ. A 1/10 mile track.
Some finals had 25 to 30 cars with first row and last row not too far apart.
