Technical 49 customline tumbler removal

Trying to figure out how to remove the tumbler from the trunk latch on my 49 Customline any help would be appreciated

Need to remove trunk tumbler.. help?

 

is there a U-shaped clip that holds it in place from inside the trunk?
Or is it integrated into the trunk handle /license plate light ***embly - so that you need to remove the whole ***embly to get to it?
I'm not familiar with this set-up - just throwing out some ideas on what I've seen in the past.

 

By looking at it it looks as if it is part of the ***embly. I'm not 100% sure... but I guess I will just tear into it and hope for the best.
