All, Just wanted to reintroduce myself. Don for short. Project: 1953 Ford Victoria, 96K original, frame off build. So far: Frame sand blasted, upper and lower A's sanded and painted with all new rubber bushings. Energy Suspension EMS 9.91016 lower bump stops (which I had to re-drill the hole [centered] , Aerostar springs , Monroe 37093 short shocks with 3" t-bar bottoms and pin uppers (which eliminates the lower shock mount bracket) and rebuilt drum brakes. Engine: 239 Flathead: HEI conversion mounted in the original distributor, PCV instead of the down draft tube, and plan to use electronic fuel pump with frame filter. So far all is only in mock-up stage. Still have to replace floor boards and then build the entire wire harness using relays, fuse blocks and a nice wire tuck for the engine bay. I will keep everyone informed as my progress.
Additional build areas: 2000 Blazer front and rear sway bars, Monroe Load Leveler shocks (rear), Jeep Grand Cherokee (Delphi) steering gear box, Corvette steering gear pump (mounted on OEM bracket), 1-wire Alternator, remote oil filter with 910S filter, Lowered radiator (2"), eliminated mechanical fan (will install 16" push electric fan), installing 1990 Buick forward tilt hood ***embly, and 12 volt dash components. Will continue to update.
