I had a 1933 pickup, I was always trying to work out how to extend it with style.
I could not get my head around dealing with the belt line.
Never did get around to doing it, got sold.

Cool did the Hudson start out as a truck or is it a converted sedan??

Both. It started out a truck, mixed with a parts car sedan. Shortened the bed to keep the wheel base the same.

I'm sorry, but IMO very few of those extended trucks are aesthetically pleasing. The lines just don't work. I'd appreciate the extra legroom myself, but my eyes couldn't take the abuse.

When you're 6' plus sitting in the cab, you can't see the aesthetically abusive design cues!

I find it amusing how many guys say they are an **os size and they chop and channel a early 30s pickup the after a few road trips realise how uncomfortable it really is. So they extend the cab. Hey nothing wrong with a nicely extended cab , just get the proportions right. I think the bare metal 30 tudor in james66G post made into a pick up of sorts looks great. But a pickup with a coupe side 1/4 window looks just like a coupe gone wrong.

Seems the side view proportions can go wrong really quick.

This is one of the few that has a decent profile view, but I got to tell you, the blind spots on that thing have to be hu****ingmungous. The blind spots on a stock closed cab pickup are bad enough. Changing lanes on the road without knowing if someone else is already there, or coming up beside you, has to be nerve wracking.

True that. My polished turd '29A Closed Cab may get the entire back of a '28T coupe, if it ever sees the light-of-day again.
