I've been devouring thread after thread here for a while and finally going for the introduction.

My name is Ian. I was born and raised outside Detroit, so surrounded by great American steel. (Most of my family built Fords, Grandpa put about 40 years in there.)

I spent some time living in NYC and now find myself out on the East End of Long Island where I have a funky oyster farm and bar running out of a 105 year old former bait/tackle shop. Now, my other car is a lobsterboat (small block chevy).

I am in the early days of fixing up an International Harvester Metro to use as something of a shop truck and ambassador for the oyster shop. (Don't panic- I'm not cutting any of the sheet metal to make a food truck!)

Thanks again for all of the great information, stories, and preservation of the institution that happens here!

Love the truck! My wife owns a wedding decor business and has a lil shop truck she uses for local stuff.
