Model A Shop Truck

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by flt-blk, Mar 12, 2006.

  1. This is the 350 for the ElCamino in the background. I can't wait to get it
on the road so I can stop abusing my A, but until then it is the only truck
    I have.

Nobody has ever accused me of being easy on my cars. :p I only had 1/2"
before hitting the bump stops, it was a rough ride home.

    Well crap!

I was just gonna tell you I found a 425 Caddy motor and tranny.

Comes complete in it's original 77 vintage carrying case. Runner, driver $300. Okiebucks.

it's a truck, and your using it as you should. Having a truck and not hauling stuff is like buying a shower just to watch the water run.

  11. Hey Durod,
next time I'll make a point to come over and say hi, nice olds by the way.

Unfourtunatley the tailgate does not go down, but my cherry picker goes
high so it was not a problem.;)

Titus, I know what you mean, got pulled over for pictures a couple months
ago with 6 bags of leaves headed to the compost bins.:p

    Fidgit,
I spent more than $20 and they are complete with new linings and soft lines.
    One cyl needs a kit.
A guy in my neighborhood converted his 48 Merc to MII and disk brakes
and this is all that was left. The engine came out of his 65 ElCamino because
he couldn't get to the oil leak, so he bought a crate motor since the engine had to come out anyway. :D Lucky Me:D

    Hotwheel,
If you didn't get my message, I left your parts with Bass at the Comound
Let me know the final standings.
