No, Chris, my wife and I are on a landscape photography tour throughout the west.

Des Moines was a great show in '94, the last time I was there and I can only imagine how much bigger and better it is now! That purple full-fendered duece roadster I just posted had Iowa tags.

 

Than's Dave Ruhs car, he, Dale Grau, and Don Hanson are on there annual treck to the LA sRoadster show. Well maybe I will see you at the Hamb drags

Awkward ? Explain. You should have seen what they started with. A lot of these cars were wadded up and un savable, and built for this specific purpose which is fun with hotrods.

 

Apparently, the promotors arranged a fly-over of four vintage planes Saturday morning.

Awesome shots as always, Tom. Like everyone else who wasn't there, I gotta make this one day. They'll have to build additional hotels to handle the crowds!

 

Just got home what a great weekend with my son, daughter in law, grandson and close friend's my wife could not make it this year. Last year was super cool this this year was unbelievable. Thanks for the great pic's Tom, enjoyed talking with you. And to Mike and Amy "WOW" I don't know how you do it, endless energy. And a BIG THANK YOU to all the other people that made this happen that we never see or get to know. I met so many new friend's saw old one's . See you in Central City. Thank you again.

I know. I couldn't believe the setup. The motel rooms were at the most, 200 feet from the track. There was one small building with a few hotel rooms that was maybe 75 feet from the starting line.

 

I don't think you could a better venue. You didn't have to leave the grounds for anything all weekend if you didn't want to.
