Vintage shots from days gone by!

HAH! I can just make out "Spark plugs need cleaning too!"

 

We had one of those little devices at my friends gas station in the late '50's. It had sand in it. You screwed the spark plug into it and attached an air pressure hose and it sandblasted the plug clean! Then you checked the gap again and back into the car it went

 

That's correct. That's a shot of one of the "Harveycars" that were used in the Southwestern Indian Detours. You can see the "Harveycar" script on the radiator.

 

Wonder what the could have been saying here?

My dad helped build those combines in East Moline, IL. The IH combine plant is an empty lot now.

 

Bill Snyder, was Minnesota Dirt Track champion from 1946-48, and was ranked fourth nationally in 1947. Bill would go on to set numerous diesel land speed records at Bonneville.
