is a 430 an FE? if it is, than any FE intake will work on it (with very few, rare exceptions).

    332 352 360 390 406 410? 427 428, are FEs.

A 4 barrel intake wouldnt be too hard to find, probably $100-200 for an aluminum one.

FE multi carb manifolds are kinda rare, and definately more costly. They are out there though.

Ebay or the hamb cl***ifieds is a good place to start looking.

The 430 is a MEL engine (mercury, edsel, lincoln). the 430 is fairly common, but If I remeber right the 462 had mroe parts made for it. they should interchange. If you head over to the LCOC they have a section on "hopping up". The LCOC is a gold mine when it comes to anything lincoln. Ill ask my dad as well, he may have something in his head after all.... Oh and you said you were a young hamber, how old if you dont mind me asking.

The kid was more observate than I gave him credit.

Performance stuff for MELs can be found but it's no small chore. There is a beefier cam that was ground recently so you could go that way.

The Carter AFB on you car is about a 600CFM unit Need more? If you look long and hard you will find that there was a 383 (yes Ford made that size) that had three dueces on it It can fit but then you're going to have to cut into the hood to make clearance more than likley. Oh, and you'll drop big bucks for it too. One was put up for sale at $600 on the MEL forum about a month ago.

Headers, you/re going to have to have some made.

Here is a link to the MEL engine forum:

I've got header flanges already made and Junk****er and I are working on some finned valve covers right now. Intakes are next on the list. The multicarb intakes aren't too hard to find. The tripower Edelbrock will run about $500. Original Mercury 3x2's are about $1500 for a bare intake. the 6x2 intake shouldn't cost you more than about $350 if you are patient. The 8x2's come along now and again. One just sold on Ebay for $580. They never made a dual quad setup for these that I know of so that is what I'm looking at making.
