I am looking for info on a Wolverine cam. I have a cam # 38-0975 with lifters. I haven't been able to locate anything on this cam. All I know is, it is for a 6 cyl with center dist. drive. it has casting #CM 1001. I have the lifters (HL2011) that are still in the boxes. I would like any info on this cam. Thanks

Everything's in correct position for a slant 6 cam (though I'm not familiar with that rectangular lug on the back). If it's the same vintage as the lifters, then that's most likely, as that's the only passenger car six Ma had in '68. ps. Are the lifters dumbell style? And is there a cross drilled hole in the rear bearing journal?
There is not a cross hole in the rear bearing. The lifters are not dumbbell. That rectangle on the back has confused a lot of people.
The rectangle may have been to index it in the machining process. Possibly marine or industrial grind, it doesn't appear to have a large amount of lift.

The lifters look like they may be the dual use shells type that could take either solid or hydro internals, strictly an aftermarket item. Still haven't found any lobe specs, but will be dealing with Oregon Cam later this year, and will ask.

The lifters definite look like hydraulics. Probably a replacement cam for a late model slant as the early models all had mechanical lifters.
