It's just too bad the original AHRA went down in flames the way it did with Orville Moe not playing fair. But, Spokane Raceway Park is still in operation and county owned, so things should last as it's always hard to fight a city/county/state en***y. They've been trying for years to bring back the "AHRA", and NHRA does need to be beaten down IMO. One track is a start. I am Butch/56sedandelivery.

 

I think the AHRA is wise to keep themselves on the smaller scale. The NHRA is the big dog on the block and will never be overtaken. There's a great niche of smaller tracks that can host smaller events. The AHRA will also have a tech inspection at the meet and greet.

For those who will be attending the meet and greet with the American Hot Rod ***ociation at The ALL AMERICAN DRAGWAY in Lena Mississippi on Saturday April 2, 2016 we will have our Vice President of tech and safety with us who is SFI certified and who will be holding a ch***is inspection for anyone who wishes to have their ch***is certified or if your previous ch***is tag has expired. The cost for a SFI ch***is inspection is $80.00.

 

Is this the former Lake Slip Away dragstrip? If so this was a very nice facility.
We built a car for the owners several years ago

 

I was kinda hoping it was the Battlefield Raceway 20 miles from me that was going under AHRA control. It's been having issues and may not open this year.

 

Get out there and support the AHRA, and the smaller tracks..

A friend from down south told me once there were at least 200 outlaw strip sin Miss.and Alabama. I hope he was right .

 

Hub City Drag Strip is located in Hattiesburg, MS. Don't know much more but it is operational.
