I personally like NGK's. Notice the soot on the base of the plug? I wouldn't say the plugs are getting hot, usually will blister the porcelain a bit if dangerously lean. I would put a fresh set in and get some miles on it. Keep an eye on them during the next 1,000 mi. Get some miles on it before you p*** judgement looks pretty good right now, nothing wrong as long as you are not showing excessive heat in the plugs, give it a little time. Then fine tune. I am use to reading the cad plating burning off the NGK's showing heat tuning on alky or nitro. Hell I'm use to reading heat up into the first or second thread LOL. JMO Lippy

Here are some pics of the plugs after 200 miles. They still seem lean to me but I'm not sure. It's not running hot and doesn't ping.

Tuning for the street is a bunch different than tuning for WOT. Your doing fine, you can fatten it up on the primary's till you see the reading you want may just take another fresh set to get there. I don't see a problem you will never have all 8 perfectly equal I don't think. Lippy

No lead, alcohol in the fuel…impossible to get a reading without an A/F wideband meter.
