Technical Which comes first Bleed or Adjust?

    I have searched this site for "how to adjust early Ford brakes" I have found many posts on how to adjust and none seem real clear on the order of adjustment vs bleeding.
    Here's where I am, I have fitted my '40 with a dual pot M/C from a '67 Mustang, I stripped the wheels down, got all the adjuster cams freed up and the anchors turning freely. I also rebuilt the wheel cylinders (all 4 corners) and I ran new brake lines, and hoses,. The system is now dry and completely out of adjustment. The wheels spin freely and the shoes are not in contact with the drums.
    What I need to know is, do I start with the the wheel/brake adjustment or do I bleed the system first? Not sure how I would bleed the system with the shoes so far out of adjustment? I do not have a pressure bleeder.

    Please advise, thanks in advance...

    Adjust the bottom anchors close, then the side cams close, then the bottom anchors to just a whisper of contact, then the side cams the same. Tighten the anchor nuts. Then bleed.

    After driving a short bit you may want to pull the drum and look at the wear pattern to confirm your adjustment.
