    The front axle I bought was missing one drum and I'm not sure what model it came from.

    Not sure what part you are referring to? I can name many parts in that picture. Need your better description which one you are missing.

    Seeing the suspension would help narrow down what the drum is from,could be a 40 Ford. HRP

    Don't know, doesn't look like 39-48 though.

    Probably '40-48 drum. Has been redrilled for smaller pattern. I thought the screw on dust cap would narrow it down, but reproductions are listed for '32-48. If you want to know the year of the brakes we need a picture of the shoes or backing plate. Drums are service parts and can be changed out for many years.

    I am picking it up tomorrow
    So I can get a closer look
    My goal here is to convert to disk without changing the spindle

    I was just thinking in order to get the right rotors I would need to know what the current set up came from

    look at the spindles, they determine the rotors

  13. Looks like the spring is over the axle so it's an earlier axle, but the spindles could have been changed. Need to know if the spindles are round or square,

    I'd be stripping paint and Magnafluxing or Dye penetrant testing them welds.

    They look like 48 Ford p***enger car spindles to me.

  23. Pretty hefty spring on that dropped axle. Looks kind if counter productive.....
