I thought I'd share a few pictures of my model A coupe. We used some 32 rails, 40 Ford X member and pedals, Bronco 9 inch rear, model a front crossmember, reversed corvair steering box, channel iron for the rear crossmember, and a 32 rear spring. The engine is a factory dual quad 354 out of a Chrysler 300. The factory intake and carb were long gone, so it now has an old Weiand intake with small afb's. It has a Muncie 4 speed. Should be a neat hot rod when finished.
Doubtful, I'm almost 6'4'' and I'm not too sure how well I will fit in it with it being chopped too much. I guess I will get it running and driving and see how the head room situation is.
Every model a seams to get chopped!Nice to see them stock once in a while. Looks great so far by the way.
That's going to be slick. I'm digging the not chopped nor channeled look right now. There is something about being able to get in a hot rod and be able to make miles and not feel like a pretzel when you get out.
Finally getting around to working on the coupe again. Came across some 34 Ford pickup fenders and they worked out nicely. Used '31 coupe fenders on the back and cut the rear of them down a few inches.
I like your car a lot!.....I've gone with the 'non-chop' aspect myself....I love the extra headroom and over-all ease of how the car was intended, and works very well with the 'old school' hot rod identity....your car looks to be a great little cruiser indeed....sure has a real nice look to it!
The model A is painted. I still have a few more things to do before it is on the road. I'm a lot closer than I was though.
