Does anyone have a example of a satin washington blue truck? I like the color, but wondering how it would look flattened? This is possibly going on a 1940 truck.

ykp53, Just Gary and volvobrynk like this.
  3. That blue pickup looks teriffic. Like something you might see during the Truman administration.

Satin washington blue is a beautiful choice IMO; a traditional stock Ford color that's old-looking, but not trendy like flat black.

This is obviously not a pickup truck, but the fat fendered era is the same.

Does anybody know the proportions of black and blue DP primer to get Washington Blue?

Thanks for the photoshop effort. I take it the second car is real?

My missus likes the flattened colours too. While a long way off, this is some good inspiration.

I've found a lot of the flat blues at shows are baby blue or mid/denim. Harder to find a dark 'Washington' blue.

He also rechromed everything for me....
The state of the fenders is one of the reason I am leaning towards suede paint. I don't think they can be repaired at this point and every one has at least 1 if not 2 splits in it, and the are so rough that you could never buff out a clear coat for a shine. I am worried that the surface rust will become more than surface rust in the areas that are down to bare metal. I hope to someday replace the fenders, but for now I am just wanting to get it on the road.

Moose, if I could bother you one more time. The misses wonders what it would be like with more teal? Like this color.
