It's not for everyone, but I like it. A show stance, much like angel hair and mirrors on the floor, is just for dramatic effect. Wouldn't mind seeing it at ride height.

The lake pipes is the only exhaust on the car

 

I have been pondering the idea of bringing the lake pipes out mid-car on my 40. l am concerned about the heat damaging the rubber running board. Any issues with that?

 

I have dont notice any problem with that on my car. The lake pipes are about 7/16 from the running boards.

This one lives just around the corner from me. The owner happened to have a couple of radios left over from his build and gave them to me since I was looking for one (or at least a face) to fill the hole in my own dash. How cool was that?

You fellows should try to check out Luke Karosi's coverage of Albert Araujo's '46 sedan in the latest issue of Kustoms Illustrated.. Man, it's EXACTLY like they were back in (my) school days of the late '50s! Royal blue, red scallops with white striping, aftermarket "flippers".. Nice, nice, nice!

I'd post a scan - but not sure that would be fair to Luke. Maybe he'll see this and treat us to a pic?
