Fun project for a friend who bought this '30 Chevy that someone cut the roof off of. Did an OK job but the soldier tall windshield posts didn't help the overall look of the car much. Brought it over to fab some engine side panels, owner was easily convinced to try one of Rob's cool '30-'31 Ford Hallock windshield frames. Chevy cowl way different than a Ford, narrower with less distance between the dash and firewall and then there is that nice full width reveal. The frame comes in a left and a right half so I was able to change the angle to change the width and alter the pitch of the windshield also. Had to remove a section of the reveal and still required hogging out a lot of material off the bottom of the windshield frame. Lots of hours but worth it in the end. I used Rob's gl*** also. Great quality product from a great guy to work with. Might not have tried to fit this but Rob said send it back if it won't work no problem. Plus a discount for Alliance members.

Thanks for the kind words, the car is work in progress. (aren't they all) The owner has a vision of what he wants it to look like, it's fun to help see that starting to come to fruition. Here is a little closer look at the windshield frame. The main reason I wanted to post this is so others interested in Rotten Leonard's frame can see what a nice quality part it is. I welded the two halves right up the middle as it comes left and right. We put a brush finish on it and clear coated it. Easy maintenance.

    Thanks again for the compliments!
hfh, your avatar shows how much you like those windshields!
rottenleonard, thanks again Rob for the great product, I would love to put one on the original application '30-'31 Ford you made the windshield for. Having seen all the detail in the casting on the ends underneath I can guess fitment is a breeze! I had some pics of the frame showing how it looks right out of the package but seem to have lost them.

Not a Rotten Leonard screen but a local guy makes these for Holden (Ozzie) bodied Chevs down under. A friend bought one and had it shipped to Canada, lots of work to make it fit a Fisher (US) body as the cowls look the same but are not!

    This is his 32 screen
