Virginia Shaker looks like it's had it's altered wheelbase reversed.

  12. Jim Miles '34 coupe. The blown fuel Hemi in this car later lost it's innards all over the starting line at LIONS in Jim's Magic Muffler Fiat fuel altered. Sad end to the Hemi, but probably one of the most spectacular photos in drag racing resulted from the explosion!

I think this might be Marv Eldridge's Fiberglas Trends 'vette, at Lions..Neat Stude in the background (correction from Dennis Doubleday: The blue Corvette roadster is Victor Kim's "Mr. Kim" injected gas fc.) Thanks!

No ID on this Jr Fueler. 10-15 of these would show up at Lions on a good night, really put on a great show. I forgot the rules, except it seemed like 303 cu in was the maximum engine size.

The blue Rex Carson roadster (above) was run out of Glendale Calif. Later sold to a friend of mine. He and another friend installed a port injected 392, and later a blown fuel 392.
The car never went straight with the Fuel Hemi in it.

Jeff During's "Twister" D/D at Adelaide International Raceway, South Australia. Aussie rules for D/D called for pre 1963 six cylinder engines (or flathead or inline 8's) and the slant 6 Chrysler was a good choice if a bit heavier than the commonly used early Holden six. The car was pretty much entirely built by During from the front wheels hubs to the injection along with the chassis and body. It later ran a big block Chevy (in the mid 90's).
After spending some time in the north of Australia the car is now back where it came from and in the capable hands of Kym White.

It probably tried to run as a Match Bash car and a legal FX or SS car like the Jenkins car did.
