This show has morphed into more of an art scene than car show, lots of "art cars" there with an abundance of rodents too. Nevertheless, there were a few that fit the criteria for this board. As usual it was too damn hot and the city needs to open the downtown parking decks. I was in my ot car and had to park 7 blocks away. Here's some of what was there...
Thanks for the pictures. I have missed the last few years but always had a good time at that event. Admittedly I go for the music and the parties.
Thanks Tom. I see my old friend Zman was there. You must have missed Matt Hurley's (studebakermatt) black Model A roadster. I agree with you on the art cars and rats. The mix kind of turned me off the last time I went.
Good eye, they do look a little winky-wonky, especially the rear. It's probably wide angle lens distortion. This is such a crowded show with so many people that about the only way to photograph the car without people around is to use a wide angle lens and get very close in. This can sometimes result in unintended distortion. I hadn't noticed this till you pointed it out. I think it was shot with an 18mm lens. How's your roadster coming along?
Ah ok for a moment there I thought something was broke in the rear. The deuce is on hold right now it's in storage with the rest of my shop stuff till the new homestead is done.
I really enjoyed seeing the photo's Tom,thank you for taking the time to post. The '33 sedan is a knockout! HRP
Yeah, that sedan was, in my humble opinion, THE Best car at the show. It was really well done and would hold it's own anywhere.
It was definitely hot and crowded. We came in on Cherry Street and parked 1/2 block from the show in a public parking deck also in OT vehicle. Thanks for taking time to post photos.
