Long time lurker on the Hamb, never posted much. So much inspiration on here and good info. Thought I'd post my build. This is my first model A build, super stoked.
So far have the body in need of patch panels all around 30/31 (no deck lid, going to fab up a louverd one), model A frame, doors, tank/cowl, windshield frame, visor, 30 grill shell, steering box, front brakes, spindles & hubs (new), 4" drop axle (new), reverse eye mono leaf (new), lower shock mounts (new), dropped steering arms (new), front split wishbones ,40 ford rear end with brakes, drive shaft & torque tube, rear leaf spring.
I'm sure I'll have plenty of questions, don't really have a ******** direction other than chopped 4" channel over the frame. 1466833767616.jpg 1466833788010.jpg

Hinge pins were a *****. Drilled out with a 1/8" bit then slowly bored them out with my foredom.

Had to order replacements, the old ones were torched off. Not fun at all. The whole drivers side A pillar was torched out. 1466834531559.jpg

  10. nice work so far, i see that you are replacing the wood with metal. have you thought of not channeling it and mounting it on a `32 frame? i really like that look

Stripped the rest of the paint today. Didn't work as well as it did a couple weeks ago. The shop was way to hot, the paint stripper turned to paste after 10 minutes. Got most of it off. The rest I'll sand off. [IMG][IMG]

Uploading all these pics from my phone, don't know why some are sideways. Oh well you get the idea.

Kinda ironic these days, being a rebel is not chopping it. But no I've waited a long time to build this one, it's getting chopped 4". Can't wait to even be halfway done.

What a follower! ha ha just kidding. If i had enough balls to do it myself, i would probably chop mine too but i don't so it will stay unchopped for now at least!
