Looking for a nice period correct looking radiator for my Anglia. Anyone have at suggestions ? Thanks !
My car is all stock original tin and I tried a cheep aluminum one from Speedway. So far, so good. I've got a ZZ-4 crate motor and running air. Spal 16" fan (puller) with the Spal controller. 180 stat. Runs 180 idling. Runs 180 on the highway. Air on / off. I would recommend. Has a few thousand miles so far.
Which speedway one did you go with ? As far as dimensions. Did you mount on top of frame rails or go inbetween ?
Willys Jeep. They got used in a lot of things back in the '60s will cool most small blocks and if all it has to do is cool it for 1320 feet you are golden.
I put an early Mustang in my buddies Anglia. Cheap to buy as a reproduction. Nice brackets to make mounts off of. And you can get the lower outlet on either side.
The Speedway one is part# 917-5161. 16" wide x 26" tall. You have to put a fill neck on it, the one I used was available from them then, but I don't see it listed anymore. They do show one to splice into the upper hose (1 1/2") that should work. I mounted mine on top of the chassis, made some brackets off the perforated side rails of the radiator. It lists it at $299.99 now, but I'm certain I did not pay that much, probably 4 years ago. But it works. I can send pictures to your e-mail, but still can't figure posting pictures on here.
They are basically the same - My 63 Falcon has a 65 Mustang radiator in it - Direct bolt in, can't tell the difference
