This is my first build, but you gotta start somewhere! Always loved early Fords, especially pickups, and now finally got my self one. Had this 29' pickup for about a year, but only just got the space to get started. Its really solid all over, only rust Ive found is the bottom of one of the doors which is going/gone! The truck came full fendered, although probably made up from a number of sources. Four banger and ****** were missing, has a standard A rear and front end with the addition of 40 juice brakes and 16" wire wheels. Plan is to run it full fendered, minus hood sides, and un chopped to start with (I'm over 6ft so see how it goes, maybe a chop). Needs lowering to sort out stance, spring eye reverse and a re-shuffle etc. So far I have got a '40 rear plus torque tube, 8ba flatty and f1 steering box. So still on the look out for a top loader ****** and probably a load of other bits I can't think of or afford right now!! Plus finding the bits here in the UK is not so easy. Yes al***ude adjustment should be first priority! Looks like every panel and part on that is useable, even the pickup bed which is a big plus. It's a great starting point for sure. If you've never ridden in one of those pickups you wouldn't realise how short the cab is and to compensate you need the vertical room so chopping is not recommended. See if you can get a ride in one then make up your mind.

Pic's are of my pickup in its new home, got it stripped down to the ch***is which measures up square and just needs a sand blasting once I have finished up all the frame work. Need to decided on a x-member possibly a F1 if I can find one. If not going to have to fab something.
Been prepping and painting my block, that was until I found a crack in one of the exhaust valves and one between head bolt and water jacket holes so I have sent it out to a local guy who spe******es in cold metal s***ching and casting repairs. In the mean time I have been drawing up a k-member in CAD (with the help of a guy called Pete on Ford Barn who has measured up an original 32 k member and kindly shared his drawing). Then should be ready for a friend to cut on his laser cuter. Just trial fitting a ply wood version first to check the fit .

Motor has been along time in the making. After getting the crack in the block s***ched I went to fit the crank and realised the bearings I had were wrong, they are NOS and are the right spec on the box but the rear main are wrong, so new ones ordered. Continued making my k member, a friend laser cut all the pieces out and ive been busy bending and tacking it all together ready for a trial fit. Sent from my SM-T815 using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Done some more work on my k member, which all bolts up now and fits nicely in the frame. Just trying to work out the other parts i need to mount my ****** to it which is a 1936 case which i believe curently has a 21a-7085 rear mount. So I think i need B-5089 steel plate with the rubber ring and the b-7085 retainer is this correct? Anything else i need? Sent from my SM-T815 using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
