I haven't posting in a long time but this is my latest creation. This is a full size Brookville steel 32 Ford grill shell with a sheet metal Rat Fink I welded up for Arties Party Pinstripers Panel Jam Charity Auction.

Don't often get to post in the FAS because my clients are typically muscle car guys. But this one was commissioned by one of my regular customers. In the past he's only had me do his muscle car collection, but it seems he has now turned his attention to building a rod. And what a rod it is--'34 Plymouth, 392 Hemi, Divco wheels and some tasty body mods. Not sure what shop is building the car, but it's just about complete and will make it's debut at Goodguys in August. Here's the pencil sketch and I'll have the finished art to show soon.

Edit: Just learned that Hal Burrows and Lee Baxter are the brains behind this build.

  8. I've been busy the last few weeks, road trips, vacations, projects etc. So I thought last night I would do one for todays F.A.S. It is my current project a 27 T coupe. I may change some things before she's finished. This is the plan for now. If you have any ideas please share them. And thanks for all of the Art work 003.jpg you have posted here. I enjoy this thread a lot. Ron...

Not quite automotive, so do remove it if deemed inappropriate for the board. The techniques are directly translatable though. My 13 y/o has been wanting to make this for quite a while now. Mixed media: snow disc, automotive touch up paints.

Here are a few oldies from the OLD sketch pad. If a repost sorry. Just move along, nothing new to see here. lol I want to give credit to Keith Wessner for the Cherry Pie Idea it's one of my all time favorite's and the pin up girl I can't remember were I saw it, This was 06 when I drew this. A couple of very cool hot rods from a local show in IL. Enjoy and kudos to all the artists that contribute to the FAS! DSC_9016.jpg DSC_9072.jpg

Friday is almost over and there's only one page still? Kind of sad. I'm as much to blame as anybody though. I don't have anything new so here are a couple old car show sketches.

Anybody know who Stanley Wanl*** is? That last sketch is his '36.
