I've got a nice full color sales brochure for the 1940 Plymouth Roadking, and another brochure in sepia tone. I like how the cover car on the brochure is the same color as my Coupe! Brochure cover.jpg Roadking brochure.jpg engine brochure.jpg

I have found very little advertising for my 1936 Dodge pickup. Chrysler's ad budget was probably low during the depression. I have this tri-fold brochure showing every truck offered in '36 Dodge trucks brochure.jpg

Last year at the swap meet I found a ratty sales brochure for the 1954 Dodge. But the page with the Red Ram was in great condition, I have it framed above my '54 Red Ram on the engine stand. Red Ram brochure.jpg

I have always thought that some of the mfgs must have given their marketing depts a fair amount of "creative license" when designing their sales brochures, at least the ones I've seen from the 60's era. They always seemed to look lower, wider, and many times, it looked like the window tinting was darker than they actually were.

This is my favourite subject. great idea to start a thread about it. The art is just mind blowing. For me best time was late fifties to early sixties before photo's were becoming the norm, especially Art Fitzpatrick and Van Kaufmans stuff. They managed to sell you truth, justice, the American way and mom's apple pie, not just the car, amazing talent. This ad manages to convey not only the power of the car, but America's industrial strength and it's vastness also, which is no mean feat in a glossy advert, Don't know if it was AF & VK but they certainly can scribble. 57Chevrolet07-vi.jpg

'Spose these fit in here. Had them tucked away a while. All are thick paperboard and two large ones are supposed to be from 1938. Little one with Rita Hayworth 1941?
