Has anyone checked to see if the US viewing is the same tonight as the Canadian viewing? I missed it last week and would love the opportunity to DVR it tonight but I don't want to get my hopes up all day at work today.;)

Thanks for the heads though. I sure hope it's the same.

The O/H episode is the Model A build and like 35 said the rides episode is ***led "Rat Rods". Maybe this will finally shed some light on the rat rod delima because if it is on TV it has to be true.

  16. That is one lucky dude. Foose pulled off one of the coolest rebuilds yet with that one.

That car was a pile and would never in a million years came out that nice otherwise.

I've never been a big fan of sedans witht he roofs cut off but that car came out awesome. Everything worked for me.

    Great show.

It was cool seeing a lot of hamber's cars there. Loudpedals car was shown a few times along with some other cool rides. That T that the Shifters made really turned out well too.

I think there's alot of people on this board who hope the hell they never get "Overhauled." What's with that jack*** host with the fake tattoo's and the "Rat Rod" 'Lingo'? Aside from the Mazda 4 banger, the car was cool enough. I like the TCI guy saying, "this is our 'Traditional Frame'. With disc brakes and and all repop parts? A four link is traditional? Why didn't Foose use the origional hood even? Was that to show off his hood on a pole bending skills?
At least they kept the wheel tire vibe.....

o yah, anyone watch the belair build after the model a? what they did was completely wrong AND illegal.

first off, they only used his front fenders and hood, they BURNT the rest.

secondly, they took the VIN off his car and put it on another car....

LMAO at all the newbies "awww... the messed up his rat rod, awwww...." WTF, the dude got a damn nice car, much better than the POS it was.... and the Y-block is way ahead of the Mazda motor, and in my opinion a better choice than a flathead...

That is my idea of a Rat Rod! I really enjoyed the show and the Fooses look like a great family.

I watched it for the first time this past night - comments:

    a) Foose rocks for one simple reason - he extended the center point on the Duvall into the hood. When I saw what type of windshield he was fabbin' up - I'd hoped he would extend that point - and he did. It's little things like that which separate the artisans from the average rodder. Not that I'm an artisan, mind you - far from it.

    b) The car didn't get lit off 'cuz is wasn't finished. There's an important lesson here - makin' yer own hot rod is a LOT harder than buyin' a GTO or a Chevelle and thumbin' thru the pages of Year One.

Until this build, OH was doin' a lot of parts swappin' - cut off an old panel, weld in the repop; drop in a crate motor. Sure - Foose made it unique, but fabbin' was mostly limited to shaving. T'ain't all that easy to fab up a rod - even tho they *look* simple.

I'm not sayin' that the folks here are better 'cuz their projects are more difficult than the average build - rather that when one of the respected builders of the day struggles to arrive at a finished product in the time he normally kicks out musclecar refits - you just gotta admire the blood, sweat, and tears which comprise a traditional rod.

There's more to a trad rod than meets the eye.

hahahahaha, I thought the same thing.

That car is ten times the pile it was before... and I liked it before too.
