Hey y'all- I finally made an account so I'm not just haunting this place like a creeper. I've grown up around old cars, and have been going to car shows for well over a decade. I hope to have a classic car of my own someday soon and learn how to do basic maintenance on it at the very least. Ideally, I want a Pontiac Super Chief (I almost bought an all-original one, sad story how I missed it) or similar model, late 50's through maybe '61 or '62. I also love old Buicks in general, Ford Fairlanes, Galaxies, and Rancheros, Chevy Apaches, El Caminos, and Impalas, and Packards. With a background in art and fashion and a fascination with history, I love the aesthetic of old cars and the fact that they were built to last. In the meantime, I need to save money and practice driving manual in case the dream car I get isn't automatic.
Hey there, good choice, hope you find a Poncho fast. And with the straight eight and the three on the tree it isn't hard to drive at all, believe me. Have fun here on the H.A.M.B. Cheers, Carsten
