OK, ford guys, what is missing in this pic? The next few posts will be detailed pics of the car, and what my intentions are. Comments and constructive criticism are welcomed, but bear in mind, my occupation is building cars, it is literally all I do, so keep the stupidity to a minimum, read along, and contribute if you can. Enjoy.

I have all the front end panels, am I missing grill parts?

Yes, it was wrecked, and burned in a garage fire. It was hanging 15 feet in the air, frame hanging alongside, given up for gone after the wreck, very premature test drive gone wrong. There are traces of the candy red left in places, the louvered hood and roses etched into the gl*** show that once, long ago, this was a worthy hot rod.
I have removed all lead from the front end parts, not factory lead, but custom when the car was repainted with the gold base. Next week she comes inside for removal of the trashed frame, stripping and so forth.
    Stay tuned

Are you gonna stay with the 37 rear fenders ?
I have had my 38 Club Coupe for nearly 30 years, so keep the build up date going. Grubs 38 Ford 362.JPG

I wasn't aware of differences between the two. Can you enlighten me? I am missing a running board, so smoothies with wider rears may be the plan. Lovely car , blacknred

Please see a couple pics of my 38 standard. I was trying to replicate a 50's era hotrod. Thanks Gene

Nice old ford, Gene, I think you nailed it. I like those Ol skill flames laid over what in the 50's would have been factory paint, the black walls and stock chrome are in line with your theme, interior follows too. What drivetrain and what part of the world?

If you look close the 38 fenders extend past the trunk while the 37 are flush with the trunk.
Front fenders are different as well, I am of the understanding they have a slightly larger peak, but more importantly the 37, 38 Standard, 38 Deluxe and 39 Standard are matched sets, ie hood, hood sides and fenders match, they will fit the cowl, but not necessarily interchange with each other without modification.
    Others might chime in.

Thanks again HRP, this is my first run at actually contributing, although I have been a follower of the site for years. As I tend to be ....nontraditional, I felt that I would fit the best here...love the site and the people.
