Some of those cars from the '70s aren't worth much but there are still a lot of nice older ones available like this '53 Corvette-one of only 300 made. It has a folder full of receipts including one that shows that the doctor bought it in 1967 for $895. What's it worth now-half a mill?

That was one hokey stupid American Pickers style video, acting like they were opening doors to barn for the first time. Give me a break.
The guy said there were four or five hundred '53 Corvettes made (more like 300). He called a '38 Ford convertible sedan a phaeton, he said the '49 Olds was the first muscle car, referred to a '42 Chevy as a "Super Deluxe" and said the '70 442 had a shaker hood. There's more, but you get the idea.

There are some nice cars in the pics on the auction site. but a lot of not so nice also. A lot of cars that look like cars saved by a car guy in the '70's - 80's with the thoughts that they would be worth money. Put away and never driven again. Some will hit a home run, some will not cover the storage fee. I know he didn't pay storage, but he would have made more money if he got paid to store cars.

There is another thread i started with videos. The first video shows how cars were as found. Second one some of the older ones as they are being set up for the auction.

I haven't the funds available to consider the trip, but I would like to know how things go if anyone attends! Joe

Is there a 10% buyers premium added to everything? Where is all the fine print BS?

there is nothing yet on the auctioneers website, just pictures. i'll bet it will be a mini Lambrecht auction. i'd like to snag an 49-50 Olds Convert. but, I don't think it will happen. i'll probably just end up with a couple hotdogs and a coke.
