The new chick (anorexia model #2) is (supposedly) the producers g/f or wife or something. She's just damn useless. I like Courtney far more on overhaulin than the new chick, but she's like ***'s on a bull on PowerBlock. She needs a better gig, one where she's actually doing something (though I have heard she will be more involved on the actual shows in the not too distant future).

BTW, yeah, she's anorexia model #1 - but it looks good on her :)

I totally agree with all your points, Foose is the MAN, BUT wasn't the custom windshield made by the same guy (forgot his name but it was mentioned) that did last years Ridler winner windshield for Chip? They did actually show the guy fabbing it up.

He helped fit it to the car, but the frame is the same one installed in the new R&C from Way Kustom Metal Werks in Sun Valley, CA. I was there most of the build and I missed that guy working on the frame. The "A-team" did most of the work I saw. Just more "Hollywood Magic". Those guys should have all gotten more credit for their work on the car. Most of the days were 20 hour days and the last 48 hours was worked straight through. And no one yells, gets pissed or rude- they all just worked hard to finish the car.

    Denise -

Sorry for missing your party, but I was woozy in da ba*****t - went home and was sound asleep by 7:00PM!

There were tons of guys workin' on that car - they all deserve much credit for bustin' their nuts to get it done in a timely fashion. Foose gets the props for choosing the design - and - choosing the team to get it done - and - leading them is such a fashion that they didn't implode in hour 47. It's also cool that he gave credit to the guy that fabbed the windshield. A lesser designer woulda taken all the credit, methinks.

  5. Hey I DVR'd the rides show. One of those guys was running the same steering wheel that is in that ****py Desoto I am parting out. I wonder if I could still get into the A with that wheel sitting in there.

I'm a few months late in this posting, but just found out about this site, so...
As the Model A wife, I would definitely agree with you about the "awww, but what about the rat rod?" We loved the car when we got it, (didn't pay $7500, though!) and would probably have spent years and thousands on it. I count our blessings that we were picked for Overhaulin'. What most of you didn't see was all of the safety issues that car had. We drove around with our kid in that car, and it was literally a timebomb. We never would have found out about half of the problems before it was too late and we had an accident or worse. Chip and his gang are incredibly talented and dedicated individuals. They give up sleep and home for the benefit of others. I think Chip did an A+++++ job on our car, keeping it cl***y and somewhat understated. We now have a family hotrod that we can drive, enjoy and feel safe in....
