Check this site out... http://www.nostalgicracingdecals.com/index.html Pretty sure he's a HAMBer. I know I've seen the Howard's cam decal on his site, probably a few others as well.
I have a message out to Muttly in the cl***ifieds and found the Howards Aluminum Rods Decal at Nostalgia Racing Decals. Thank you for the leads. Still looking for the others.
I stopped selling water transfer style decals in 2010 because the printers needed to produce them used water proof ink are no longer being made. The last one of the four printers I had broke in 2010 and I could not find anyone to repair them. Another poster said to contact coupe customs which is owned by none other then Nathan Cooper who is the same guy that has been ripping off anyone and everyone who purchased decals from his since 2004 !!! Back in 2005 he purchased decals from me and every time I shipped him an order he would always call and say he never received them. This is when he was working out of Chandler, AZ. One day I had a customer on the phone who is also on the HAMB and he asked me if I knew Nathan Cooper and when I said yes and he told so many stories about Nathan from when he owned "The Old Ford Parts Mining Company" and it turns out all of the vendors who sold parts to him got exact same story of never receiving his shipments. Nathan is a con artist who has been running scams for years and if you do a search on the HAMB site just type in his name you will see what I mean. He also has used the name "Pork's Truck Stop" for a number of years. There is a list of customers who sent him money and never received any decals or other products. Enter the address for Coup Customs into Google Maps and it takes you to a U.P.S. store which he has been using for years under different company names. It seems every few years he simply changes the name of the business after screwing all of his customers out of money. Can people people change? Sure but this is a Buyer Beware World we live in and I don't like to see people conned out of their money by Nathan Cooper Jimbo
Sorry Jimbo, I didn't know you were out of the water slide business. I had some dealings with Nathan Cooper before. Had to threaten him with prosecution for mail fraud before he sent me the decals I paid for. Kinda wish he hadn't sent them. Quality was for ****. I think I ended up throwing them away.
Jimbo, Thanks for looking out for a fellow HAMB'er on this one...you are not the only one to mention this guy. Thank you for all of the leads, I am getting closer...Still need the NGK, Cromwell and Winternationals. Someones got to have them stashed away!
You cant print white with an ink jet, you will need someone with a hot wax transfer printer. I have one, but Its boxed up right now, havent hooked it up and used it for a while, they are finicky to set up.
There is another problem with taking most images off the internet and that is they are bitmap images which means the resolution is about 96 dpi per inch which is not very good. Most print media is 300 dpi per inch. The best way is to recreate the image using vector graphics so that the image resolution does not change and it allows you to create images in any size. All of the decals on my website are made using vector images so when a customer wants them made in contingency size for the sizes of his drag racing car or whatever the images resolution stays the same. I should explain that since images that are on the internet must be used in certain formats to be comparable with internet protocol all the images on my website are uploaded to the site as bitmap images. When customers ask me if the decals they receive will look like the decals on the website and always try to explain that they will look better in person because of being vector images. The world of color management is even more complicated to explain and would take a few hours to understand. Jim Hill
