    Hi all

I recently fitted a new carb (Holley 4bbl Cl***ic) to my 71 F100 which had an electric choke, I decided to take my manual choke off my old carb and install it on which works fine however I've now noticed the accelerator pedal is really light and I can pretty much breathe on it and it'll rev up, it wasn't like this before I took the electric choke off. Even revving it by hand it seems quite loose. Not entirely sure where I've gone wrong here, I've tried tightening the throttle cable but to no avail [IMG]

Any help would be greatly appreciated [IMG]

Tightening the throttle cable isn't going to tighten anything...except to make sure you get full carburetor opening at full pedal travel.
Also, messing with the choke should have not done anything.
Check to make sure you didn't accidently knock the throttle return spring out of place or off.

I had a blonde moment there, I left the spring off haha, I knew I was missing something when I put the carb on. Ah well, we all learn by our mistakes
